Banff Lodging Company offers a group insurance plan to all part-time and full-time employees.
You may include dependent family members to your plan, such as children or partners or spouses that have lived with you for one year or more. It is important to advise the Payroll Team as soon as possible when you become a parent.
$25,000 life Insurance;
$1,750 dental fees;
100% ambulance fees;
100% prescription drugs;
$1,000 per year per professional service: Speech Therapist | Psychologist;
$500 per year per professional service: Acupuncturist | Chiropractor | Osteopath | Podiatrist | Massage Therapist | Naturopath | Physiotherapist.
Banff Lodging Co. employees pay 50% of insurance plan premiums via payroll deduction. This covers the life, accidental death & dismemberment, and long-term disability (salaried members only) elements of the plan.
Banff Lodging Company will pay the remaining 50% on your behalf.
Prices are subject to change. Banff Lodging Co. will notify you in advance of any price change.
You can join the Group Insurance plan if you work a minimum average of 20 hours per week.
Hourly employees are eligible to join upon completing 6 months of continuous employment.
Important: complete an application to join the plan either before or as soon as you become eligible. Joining as a late applicant will result in a reduction in policy coverage during your first year of membership.
Suspending or Exiting the Plan
You may suspend your membership of the group insurance plan for up to a maximum of six months. Speak with the Payroll Team to discuss options. You may exit the Group Insurance plan at any time. Speak with a member of the Payroll Team about your options. Your plan membership will automatically end upon termination of your employment.
